Overnight On-Ramp Closure Scheduled For Route 206 In Morris County

The Route 206 northbound on-ramp from International Way will be closed tonight for concrete deck repairs, NJDOT said.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Drivers in Morris County should be aware that the Route 206 northbound on-ramp from International Way will be closed tonight in Mount Olive for concrete deck repairs, according to NJDOT.

Mount Construction, NJDOT's contractor, is scheduled to close and detour the International Way ramp to Route 206 northbound beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday and lasting until 5 a.m. on Saturday. The closure is required to allow for concrete deck repairs.

The following detour will be in place:

  • Motorists on International Way wishing to take the ramp to Route 206 northbound will be directed to take the ramp to Route 206 southbound, which becomes I-80 eastbound
  • Take Exit 27 A-B to I-80 westbound
  • Stay left for Route 183 North
  • Keep left for I-80 West/Route 206 North to Route 46 West
  • Take Exit 25 to Route 206 North/Stanton/Newton

The planned repair work is part of a $21.6 million state-funded maintenance project to repair concrete structures at various locations in eight counties throughout North Jersey.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors, NJDOT said.
