Police Revive Woman With No Pulse, Breath In Long Valley

The woman was later taken to a nearby hospital.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Washington Township police officers helped revived a woman after her heart and breathing stopped Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Police said the 46-year-old woman stopped breathing inside a Rosewood Trail Home around 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. When Sgt. Brian Bigham, Patrol Officer Michael Thompson and Patrol Officer Daniel Parrish arrived, they found she also had no pulse.

Officers gave the woman CPR, and two shocks from an AED. The woman regained a pulse and shallow breathing.

She was taken to Morristown Hospital by the Long Valley First Aid Squad and the St. Clare’s Medical Unit.

Police did not say how the woman is currently doing.
