Potluck For Preservation Hosted By Washington Twp. Land Trust

Residents are invited to bring a dish and hear about land preservation, stewardship efforts and ways to get involved.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Washington Township residents are being invited to the Washington Township Land Trust’s annual meeting, where the group plans to share updates on local preservation work and discuss future initiatives.

The annual event will be held at the Long Valley First Aid Squad's HQ on April 17 at 6 p.m.

The invitation asks attendees to bring a potluck dish for six or more people and their beverage of choice. Coffee, water and utensils will be provided, according to the announcement.

The land trust said the meeting will include “an evening of updates on our preservation efforts, discussions on future initiatives, and an opportunity to connect with fellow community members dedicated to protecting our natural heritage.” The group also said attendees can learn about its “1,100+ acres of preserved land (in perpetuity),” along with updated plans to restore the Obadiah La Tourette Grist Mill and other stewardship efforts.

According to the announcement, the annual gathering is also intended as a chance for residents to connect with others involved in local conservation work.
