Regional BOE Tacks On School Day to Make Up For Snow Closing
Monday night decision ends upcoming three-day weekend.

Rather than celebrating President’s Day by staying home, high school students in the West Morris Regional High School District can learn about the nation’s founding fathers in class.
The West Morris Regional Board of Education approved a motion Monday night to reinstate the President’s Day holiday, originally scheduled to keep schools closed on Monday, Feb. 16.
Due to inclement weather, the district has used five emergency closing days as of Tuesday, Feb. 10. It only allotted three for the school year. The board meeting happened the same night as the district’s fifth closing.
