Santa Coming to Long Valley For Full Day of Activities, North Pole Letters Being Collected

Before he spends an entire night delivering gifts around the world, Santa Claus is hanging out in Long Valley for a few hours.
On Saturday, Dec. 5, the jolliest guy around will come to St. Mark’s Church on Spring Lane for an event filled with activities, organized by the Washington Township Recreation Committee.
The event will feature face painters, a balloonist, caricature artist, and of course, Santa Claus himself.

The event is catered by restaurants in Long Valley and runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be served between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Cost is $8 per person and children under two are free. Walk-ins are accepted for $10 per person.

While tickets are not necessary to have for admission, a self-addressed envelope with the check can be sent to 50 Rock Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853.

In addition to the Dec. 5 event, the Washington Township Recreation Department is also collecting mail for delivery to the North Pole.
Personalized letters to Santa can be dropped off in the red drop box at the Recreation Department (50 Rock Road) or mailed to Washington Township Recreation, 50 Rock Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853, Attn: Santa Claus.
All letters should include the child’s first and last name and complete return address so a personalized reply from Santa can be mailed back to the township resident.
Deadline for submitting a letter is Dec. 17.
