School Board to Vote on LVMS Assistant Principal Tuesday
Position was posted in the spring; district looking to hire from within.

Just one week after the contract ran out for Ellyn High, former Long Valley Middle School Assistant Principal, the Washington Township Board of Education is set to vote on a potential replacement.
According to the school district’s board meeting agenda, which can be seen here, the board is set to vote on Danielle Schweitzer to fill the assistant principal position effective July 13 at a salary of $85,000.
Schweitzer is currently employed in the school as the building’s Math Coach and recently accompanied a group of students to Tennessee for the annual Destination Imagination competition.

High was the only school district administrator to not receive a new contract for the 2015-16 school year, which marked the end of a tenure at the position for the fifth administrator since 2008.
When asked why there was such a revolving door at the position, Superintendent Jeff Mohre told Patch, the district is “always looking to assemble the best teams possible.”

If approved at Tuesday night’s meeting, Schweitzer will be the sixth assistant principal in the school building in eight years.
The meeting is open to the public and located in the Long Valley Middle School with a start time of 7:30 p.m.
