Schools Chief: Participate in Budget Talks
Board of Education seeks to engage community in development of school budget.

The Washington Township Board of Education will host a Public Budget Planning Forum on Tuesday evening, Nov. 29, 2011.
The forum will afford members of the public the opportunity to share any thoughts, ideas, or concerns they may have relative to the development of the 2012-2013 school budget.
In addition, the public will have an opportunity to learn more about the budget planning process.

According to Superintendent of Schools, Jeff Mohre, the district is committed to engaging the citizens of Long Valley throughout the budgetary process through the collective powers of education, information, and communication.
“It is essential that schools work with their communities for the benefit of the children they serve,” said Mohre.

Board of Education President, Mike Rec, will preside over the forum. He said he supports of the Board’s overarching goal of enhancing communication and active engagement between the school district and all stakeholders.
All community members are invited to attend the Nov. 29, 2011 forum which will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Long Valley Middle School’s Learning Community Center.
