“The Washington Township Schools will design and implement a two-day, learner-active, Professional Development Convocation for faculty and administration; one that empowers educators as teacher-leaders; embraces professional learning communities; and values differentiation with regard to professional growth.”
Approval by the board gives Mohre a bonus in the amount of 2.5-percent of his base salary, which is $155,000. The one-time payout equals $3,875.

Mohre was signed to a new contract this summer for five more years in the district. His salary is capped by state law at that figure, and had his base lowered more than $20,000 from his previous contract to meet the New Jersey requirement.
The Morris County Executive Superintendent will now have the final approval on the payout.
Mohre’s other goals, as voted upon at the board’s August meeting, are:
Quantitative Goals:
- To facilitate the implementation of the district’s inaugural Full-Day Kindergarten program including an increased emphasis on the kindergarten literacy experience resulting in at least 75% of students attaining a score of 75% or higher on the Kinder Print Awareness component of the Focus on Phonics Student Assessment.
- To enhance school security surveillance across the school district by 50% via the realization of an augmented and coordinated security infrastructure and revised school Safety & Security plan as per N.J.A.C.6A:16-5.1.
- To enhance school district communications utilizing an array of vehicles for the purpose of sharing school news and information items with the greater school community.
The other qualitative goal is:

The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the Long Valley Middle School.
