Student Rides Dirt Bike Through NJ High School, Gets Arrested

See video of a prank that will go down in Roxbury High School history... and possibly on the student's rap sheet. Viewer discretion advised.

ROXBURY, NJ — It's a senior prank that will go down in Roxbury High School history: A senior drove his dirt bike through the school hallways, eliciting laughs and screams from his classmates. Unfortunately, it might also go down on that student's permanent record: His joyride ended with him in handcuffs.

What appeared to be a stupid prank actually left a fellow student with minor injuries after she was clipped by the bike's handle, Roxbury Police told Patch. As a result, the driver was arrested and charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct. The name and age of the driver have not been released.

The student began his ride in a relatively empty hallway, much to the amusement of his classmates recording the prank. Administrators, on the other hand, we're not amused.

"Senior prank?" an adult asks dryly.

"I have no idea if that was a senior prank, but s----!" the student taking the video excitedly answers.

The teen, whose face is blocked by a helmet, turns several corners and pops a wheelie before being taken off his bike and pinned to the wall by what appears to be a school resource officer.

"Rest in peace... that's funny," a student says as the driver is walked to a police car in handcuffs.

Patch has reached out to the Roxbury school district for more information, but has not yet heard back.
