Washington Township Schools Donate Safety Equipment
Thousands of personal protection devices were donated locally.
LONG VALLEY, NJ - As the region continues to struggle with the impact of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, the Washington Township School District is helping to mitigate the danger by donating safety equipment to local agencies.

"We are grateful to be able to provide essential Personal Protective Equipment to our local and county first responders during the COVID-19 National health crisis," Washington Township Superintendent Jeff Mohre told Patch. "We have made donations to the Long Valley First Aid Squad and the Washington Township Police Department, and are currently coordinating a parcel of much-needed items for the Morris County Office of Emergency Management."

The district will be providing supplies to the tune of:
- 320 N95 Masks
- 3,200 Pairs of Gloves
- 36 Sets of Protective Goggles
"As a school district we are always ordering and stocking supplies to help medically safeguard our students and faculty," Mohre said. "Additional supplies were ordered through our health supplier several weeks ago as we anticipated potential shortages of items such as masks and gloves."
