Washington Twp., West Morris Regional School Chiefs Each Bonus $5K in March
Mackey Pendergrast, Jeff Mohre hit benchmarks related to PARCC and Common Core.

Both the Washington Township and West Morris Regional boards of education approved bonus payouts for their respective district superintendents in March, each coming in the amount of more than $5,100.
On Tuesday, March 10, the Washington Township Board of Education approved a quantitative goal for Superintendent Jeff Mohre in the amount of $5,115, or 3.3-percent of his base salary.
The criteria of Mohre’s goal was to host a series of four informational dialogues with parents relative to the implementation of the English/Language Arts and Mathematics Common Core State Standards.

At the regional high school district, Superintendent Mackey Pendergrast achieved his goal with the criteria of establishing communication with the community regarding PARCC and the Career Academy Program.
The regional school board approved Pendergrast’s payout of $5,197.50, or 3.3-percent of his salary, at the Monday, March 16 meeting.

Goals are established by the individual boards prior to the start of the school year.
Mohre is currently under contract through 2017 with a base salary of $155,000. Pendergrast announced his resignation from the regional district in February, and will be effective May 31. His base salary is $157,500.
