LONG VALLEY, NJ - Although the spring musical "Children of Eden" was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, thespians at West Morris Central have something to celebrate as their fall play garnered 11 award nominations.

"The Hunchback of Notre Dame" has been nominated for 11 awards at the annual Theatre Night Awards competition recognizing excellence in theatre across high schools in New Jersey.

  • Outstanding Achievement in Choreography/Movement: Paige Davis
  • Outstanding Achievement in Stage Combat: Michael Yousif
  • The Jo Anne Fox Veteran Award: Jeffrey Hogan
  • The Peter Filichia Award for Pushing the Envelope in Academic Theatre: Mr. Jeffrey Hogan
  • Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actor in Dramatic Stage Adaption of a Literary Work or Film: Lars Olsen
  • Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor in a Dramatic Stage Adaptation of a Literary Work or Film: Ian Lertola
  • Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor in a Dramatic Stage Adaptation of a Literary Work or Film: Mike Oestreich
  • Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress in a Dramatic Stage Adaptation of a Literary Work or Film: Marisol Medina
  • Outstanding Achievement by an Acting Ensemble of a Dramatic Stage Adaptation of a Literary Work or Film
  • Outstanding Production of a Dramatic Stage Adaptation of a Literary Work or Film

The nominees for Outstanding Overall Production are to be announced on the evening of the virtual ceremony, scheduled for May 19.
