West Morris Regional Language Program Honored A Model Program
The school district was honored for their outstanding word languages program.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — West Morris Regional School District's world language program has been honored as an NJDOE Model Program for 2018-2020. The school district was one of just four in the state to be honored.
Programs honored by NJDOE as model programs have "exemplary practices in second language instruction." They serve as regional resource centers for other districts.
This is the second time WMRSD was recognized, the first time being for 2016-2018.

“The process this time around was very intensive,” states Jessica Lasusa, the District Supervisor of World Languages/Fine and Performing Arts. “The teachers and I recognize that the application process and the site visits help us to gain a deeper insight into the work that we do. Examining our own practice and receiving feedback from the NJDOE is so helpful; it strengthens our program and helps us to further improve.”
