West Morris School's Language Program Highlighted In Magazine
The magazine School Leader featured the school's "strong" language program.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — West Morris Regional High School District's foreign language program was highlighted in the September / October issue of School Leader for being an exceptional program.
Written by the supervisor of the world language program, Jessica Lasusa, the article highlights the steps the program took beginning in 2012 to become a model program. Model programs are endorsed by the New Jersey Department of Education for providing a strong example of reliable best practices in teaching.
The program was redesigned in 2012 to emphasize emersion in language classes (speaking in a foreign language 90 percent of the time). They also shifted their approach to teaching the language more holistically, and to focus less on isolated grammar lessons.
