Singing Sessions Offered in Basking Ridge
Hickory Tree Chorus offers free singing sessions for women singers who want to keep their skills sharp. Popular music, four-part acappella.
You’re caroling with Mariah in the grocery store, belting-out ballads in the car, singing in the shower….it makes you happy!
Don’t let that singer hibernate in January --visit Hickory Tree Chorus’s free “Winter Wake-up” sessions and nurture your vocal skills with a fun group of women singers.
Whether you’re a college singer on winter break, a church singer with post-Christmas blues, or a secret-singer ready to share your song, each session is designed to wake-up the very best singer you can be. Women singers of all levels are invited, including a special January 14 invitation to Girl Scouts (and their moms!) who would like to learn more about the Young Women in Harmony badge.

Visit one, two, or three sessions January 7, 14, and 21, 7:30 p.m., 40 Whitenack Road, Basking Ridge, NJ. Each session is FREE, but please register by e-mailing info@hickorytreechorus.org so you can be notified in case of weather-related cancellations.

JANUARY “WINTER WAKE-UP” SCHEDULE
7- WAKE-UP YOUR VOCAL SKILLS –Explore the basics of good, healthy, vocal production with fun, easy techniques taught by our Master Director and trained music staff. Sing with the chorus and try out your new, mad skills!
14- WAKE-UP TO BARBERSHOP HARMONY – YWIH/GIRL SCOUT WEDNESDAY – We welcome Girl Scouts, and others up for a challenge, to discover what makes barbershop music and singing different from other choral music and acappella singing. What is the barbershop ring and how can you get it?!
21- WAKE-UP YOUR MUSICALITY– You know the notes and words, add artistry for a musical performance! Vocal artistry demo/activity stations will help you sing within a musical unit, like Hickory Tree Chorus! Complete all stations and earn your own ‘barbershop badge’!
