Wolfpack Softball Slugs Way Into Semifinals

Nearly untouchable pitching backed up by eight runs plenty for Central to advance.

Unstoppable pitching, coupled with big time slugging and speed on the base paths has put the West Morris Central Wolfpack softball team one step closer to their season-long goal.

Behind ace pitcher Jamie Fesinstine's dominating 15 strikeouts and one earned run, Central, the top seed in the North 2, Group 3 NJSIAA bracket, walked through number eight seed Summit by a score of 8-1.

At the plate, Kat Spilman had a career day, going 4-for-4 with a triple, two doubles and a single, scoring two runs and knocking in four. Allie McCourt scored three runs as well, and kept the defense guessing with two stolen bases.
