Woman Wants To Thank Man Who Helped Her During Randolph Car Fire

"It was so nice of him to stop and help me, like my father would do for a stranger," Osborne told Patch. Do you know who the man was?

RANDOLPH, NJ — When a Jennifer Osborne's car caught fire Monday afternoon in Randolph, a Good Samaritan stayed by her side, making sure she was safe and helping salvage her carseat.

Now, the Boonton resident is asking for help locating the man to thank him one more time.

"I just want to say thank you, and it was so nice of him to stop and help me, like my father would do for a stranger," Osborne told Patch. "He even gave me a hug to comfort me; it meant so much."

Osborne had gotten her car serviced last week, and didn't drive it much over the weekend. When she drove it "a distance" into Randolph on Monday, the hood began smoking and eventually burst into flames.

While she waited in a parking lot on Old Brookside Road in Randolph, the man stayed by her side, making sure she was okay and helping to call 911. He also helped Osborne retrieve her belongings, like her carseat, from her car.

She also thanked the Randolph Fire and Police Departments, who came to the scene.

Osborne told Patch the man had gray hair and glasses, and might have been driving a blue Subaru. Anyone who knows who the man is can contact Osborne through her Facebook page.
