Zip Line Adventure Park Coming To Morris County

This is the second time a zip line course has been proposed for this location.

ROXBURY, NJ — A new form of outdoor adventure is coming to Morris County: Flagstaff Extreme is opening a new zip line adventure park in Roxbury.

A representative for the company said they hope to open by summer 2019, but that "there are quite a few variables that could push or pull that time frame." He promised courses that will be "extensive and super challenging."

The company is planning on building a 48 acre park off of Route 46 in Roxbury. The land is already pre-approved for a zip line course, realtor NAI James E. Hanson said.

Flagstaff Extreme, an Arizona-based company, has several adventure parks throughout the southwest, but this will be their first park in the northeast. The company hasn't announced pricing information for the Roxbury location, but zip line courses start at $62 per person in Arizona (you can see pricing for the Arizona location here).

This is not the first time a zip line course was proposed for the location. A local couple had planned on opening a zip line course on the land in 2013, NJ.com reported. It's not clear why those plans fell apart, but township officials have previously said they think the project lost the necessary funding.

This is set to be the first zip line course in the county. Other nearby zip line courses include Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, and at Mountain Creek in Vernon.
