• State says Rancocas Valley board had no legal basis to grant Carty leave (newjerseyglobe.com) — Lumberton residents' seat on the Rancocas Valley Regional High School board is in limbo after state education officials said there's no legal basis for granting member Jason Carty a leave of absence while he faces criminal charges. Carty, who holds the Lumberton seat and is married to a Lumberton committeewoman, remains on the board but is not participating in business as questions mount about his status.
