DFSNNJ Executive Director Loraimy Kendall Serves as Panelist During United Nations’ Commission on the Status of Women

MADISON, N.J. (March 18, 2026) – During Women’s History Month, Dress for Success Northern New Jersey (DFSNNJ) Executive Director Loraimy Kendall served on the “Youth and Women: Power of Social Design for Change” panel at the United Nations in Manhattan. The panel was part of the 2026 NGO CSW70 Forum – Taoyuan Session during the UN’s Commission on the Status of Women.

Moderated by Wendy Shen, President and CEO of FLOMO/Nygala Corp., the panel brought together inspiring leaders from Taiwan, Hong Kong and the United States to share perspectives on youth empowerment, women’s leadership, social innovation, social design, and community-based change.

“It was an honor to represent Dress for Success Northern New Jersey at the United Nations and to share how community-based programs can create real pathways to economic mobility for women,” said DFSNNJ’ Loraimy Kendall, Executive Director. “When we invest in women’s confidence, skills, and professional development, we strengthen families, workplaces, and entire communities. Dress for Success Northern New Jersey provides no-fee career readiness and professional development services to unemployed and under-employed women across Northern New Jersey. A Morris County-based 501(c)(3) organization, DFSNNJ serves women throughout 10 counties in Northern New Jersey. In 2025, the nonprofit provided life-changing services, free of charge, to 2,451 women, and was recognized as NJBIZ’s 2025 Empowering Women honorees.
