Residents Invited To Help Identify Madison's Most Historic Trees

Madison's Landmark Tree Program recognizes special public and private trees throughout the Borough.

MADISON, NJ — Madison has a long-standing program called the Landmark Tree Program that recognizes special public and private trees. The Shade Tree Management Board, which runs the program, is asking the public to assist in locating and identifying potential "landmark trees."

The Shade Tree Management Board (STMB) mandated the program in 1988, and it has been updated on a regular basis as Madison loses trees due to aging, disease, and increasingly volatile weather patterns.

There are currently nineteen trees listed. Click here to see the most recent list of Landmark Trees.
