BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Nearly $189,000 remains missing after two bags of cash fell out of Brink's armored truck on Route 3 East and blew around the highway Thursday.

Anyone who may have money may return it to the East Rutherford Police Department without fear of being charged with a crime. Those who do not return the money could potentially be charged with theft of misladen property if discovered, Taormina said.

Two bags of money, one with $140,000, another with $370,000, fell out of the truck on the eastbound side of the highway at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday after the back door malfunctioned, police previously said.
