Bergen Man Sold Oxycodone To Undercover Detective: Prosecutor

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A local man was charged with distribution of oxycodone after he allegedly sold pills of the substance to an undercover detective.

Steven Lanza, 61, of Rutherford was charged with counts of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, namely oxycodone pills, in a quantity less than 1 ounce, said acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office received information in November that Lanza was involved in the distribution of oxycodone pills, Calo said.

Lanza distributed pills to an undercover detective several times, he said.

Lanza is scheduled to appear in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack April 4.
