Hundreds In Mahwah Still Without Power
Breaking: Orange & Rockland estimates power will be restored by midnight Monday.

MAHWAH, NJ — More than 1,000 township Orange & Rockland customers are still without power and are not expected to get it back until Monday.
The utility company said it disabled its online outage map Friday morning "to address problems we’ve encountered with the data."
Orange & Rockland estimates that "most" of its nearly 14,000 Bergen County customers who do not have power will get it back by midnight Monday morning.

The nor'easter Wednesday dumped 24 inches of snow in neighboring Franklin Lakes and more than 12 inches in other parts of Bergen and Passaic counties. The heavy, wet snow caused many trees to fall, which brought down power lines across the area.
"Those wires have to be de-energized and untangled. Then the trees are cut and removed, along with other debris," Orange and Rockland said in a statement. "That’s why O&R continues to work in partnership with state and local emergency leaders to safely prioritize power restoration in heavily damaged locations."

Wyckoff Police and municipal officials said they are continuing to press Orange & Rockland to supply the necessary crews to fully restore power.
The utility said it must first clear downed trees from roads before it can restore power.
"Orange & Rockland continues to work in partnership with state and local emergency leaders to safely prioritize power restoration in heavily damaged locations," the company said.
