Cliffview Pilot reported that an eyewitness identified the driver as being in their late 50s, having New York license plates on the car.

The car’s front end was crushed in the rear of the truck.
State Police confirmed that the car hit the back of the truck and that the driver was entrapped at milepost 65.

The driver of the car later died.
One lane was down as police tended to the accident around 2 p.m. on Thursday.
