'Joyce Kilmer on Stage' to Come to Mahwah Library Jan. 25
The program will feature historical reenactments of some of Joyce Kilmer's poems, including "Trees," which he wrote in his Mahwah home.

“Joyce Kilmer On Stage” Coming to the Mahwah Public Library
The audience and the media hailed last summer’s production of “Joyce Kilmer in the Park” as a huge success so much so that the Joyce Kilmer Players are returning to present a new show, “Joyce Kilmer On Stage,” at the Mahwah Public Library on Jan. 25 at 2 pm.

Admission is free. Seating is first come, first served basis.
“If you didn’t see the show in the park, do not miss ’Joyce Kilmer On Stage’ at the Library,” said Alex Michelini, founder of the Joyce Kilmer Society of Mahwah. “It is an artistic exploration of a piece of Mahwah history that inspires pride in our community.”

Mahwah Councilwoman Lisa DiGiulio, who encouraged the Society to reprise the park production, and Mayor Bill Laforet, a longtime supporter of the Society, are serving as honorary co-chairs of the event. Denise Laude, programming director of the Library, is coordinating the presentation.
”Literally, a Literary Achievement,” proclaimed the headline in the Mahwah Suburban News after the event in Winter’s Park last July 30.
The program will feature historical reenactments of some of Joyce Kilmer’s most-admired poems, including “Trees,” which he wrote in his Mahwah house 101 years ago. Many of the original show’s brilliant performers are returning to the cast as well as new additions that include beautiful stage actress Deborah Clifford.The show also will include Kilmer favorites “The House With Nobody In It,” “The Twelve-Forty-Five,” “Delicatessen” and “Rouge Bouquet” – plus two additions, “The Snowman in the Yard” and “Dave Lilly.” Actor/director Tom Walker is returning to lead the program as well as take part in a reenactment.
Other familiar cast members will include the Rev. Bill Grob, former Councilman John Spiech, historian Barbara Shanley, Mahwah collegian Tim Malone, pastor Rob Parker, rising actor Jeremy Langdale and theologian Jeremy Mathews.Ms. Clifford who starred in the Westchester production of “Molly Sweeney,” has appeared in other dramatic presentations with three longtime girlfriends who gave up acting to raise families – and, with that job done, they are back entertaining audiences.
