Man Charged With Moving Remains After Body Found In Barrel In NJ

RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ — One man has been charged in connection to the body found in a large plastic container in Ridgefield Park, the Bergen County Prosecutor announced on Tuesday.

Aquellio Parker of Springfield Gardens, New York, is alleged to have helped move the body of Nicole Flanagan from New York City to Ridgefield Park, leaving it in the large container in the area of Hobart Street and Teaneck Road on Aug. 13.

Officials have been investigating how the body got to that location, and how Flanagan died, since that Friday afternoon, and Parker marks their first arrest in the case.

He faces charges including one count of second-degree being an accomplice to disturbing, moving and/or concealing human remains, one count of second-degree being an accomplice to desecrating, damaging and/or destroying human remains, and one count of second-degree conspiring with a co-defendant to disturb, move, conceal and/or desecrate a deceased body, the prosecutor's office announced.

Parker turned himself in to the New York City Police Department on Sunday, and he is being held pending extradition.

Flanagan's body was identified on Friday, and law enforcement said she was last seen in the area of 95 Wall St., walking into a luxury apartment building known as "95 Wall".

At the time, the New York Post is reported that law enforcement has identified a "person of interest," and that surveillance video captured the man greeting Flanagan outside the apartment building on Aug. 6.

The report says the man was also seen walking into the apartment building with a large plastic container, and later seen loading the same container into a U-Haul.

It's unclear if that man seen on video is Parker, or another person of interest in the case.

According to the report, sources say Flanagan's boyfriend described her job as a "high-end prostitute."
