Greenleaf previously said her daughter "fell on hard times" about 18 months ago. She has been trying to "get back on her feet" and was living in a shelter in Hackensack for a while.
Greenleaf and Stack went to Eva's Village in Paterson and filled out paperwork to get Stack into a program there for women, but she never checked in there, Greenleaf said.
