The college will allow non-essential employees to work remotely as they prepare for the return of students to campus on Jan. 17.

MAHWAH, NJ — Some Ramapo College employees will operate remotely after their winter break ends in preparation for the return of students to campus on Jan. 17, the college announced.
Remote operations will begin on Jan. 3 and continue until Jan. 11. Non-essential employees will work remotely unless otherwise directed, officials said, while essential employees will continue on-campus operations. They will continue to conduct their daily symptom self-screening and follow health and safety protocols, officials added.
The next step is the return of all campus employees on Jan. 12, then residential student check-in on Jan. 17. Students will be required to submit proof of a negative COVID-19 test before moving in, officials said.

"In addition to being adaptable, in order to foster a healthy, well, and safe environment for work and study, we must also continue to be empathetic," Jebb said.
"Our ongoing compliance with health and safety protocols (face coverings, frequent handwashing, daily symptom self-screening, staying home if you are feeling ill, etc.) as well as securing a vaccine/booster are our best strategies to care for one another, to prevent transmission, and to mitigate serious illness."
