In effect, the machine is "turning positive behavior into a tangible and lasting reward," said Interim Assistant Principal Eva Prunk.

"By making reading a celebration rather than an assignment," Prunk said, "this program bridges the gap between literacy and engagement, motivating students to view books as something exciting, personal, and rewarding."

The vending machine will be stocked with titles across a wide range of genres and reading levels, ensuring accessibility and appeal for all learners.

The vending machines come from Bookvending.com.
