SWAT Standoff In River Edge 'Ended Well': Police Chief

RIVER EDGE, NJ — The Bergen County Regional SWAT Team was called to the scene of a barricaded subject on Sunday, Police Chief Michael Walker confirmed.

River Edge PBA Local 201 posted to Facebook on Sunday that an ongoing police investigation was taking place in the area of Magnolia and Midland, and that there was no threat to the public.

Walker confirmed that a River Edge police officer was on the scene with assistance from the regional SWAT team, and that situation "ended well."
