Monmouth County Man Molested Girls Over 20-Year Period, Prosecutors Say

The sexual abuse of the girls, 7 to 14, started in 1997 and continued through May of this year, prosecutors say.

Roosevelt, NJ - A man in far western Monmouth County is accused of molesting up to three different girls, ranging in ages from 7 to 14, over a nearly 20-year period, according to a criminal complaint released by the Monmouth County prosecutor's office.

Angel Perez, 56, of Roosevelt, NJ is accused of having sexual intercourse with his first victim back in 1997, when she was only 14 at the time. He was charged with aggravated sexual assault in that case, which prosecutors say happened in early September of 1997.

Then, starting in May of 2014, Perez is accused of molesting a second girl multiple times, from when she was between 11 and 13 years old, prosecutors said. He committed multiple acts of sexual assault on her, police said, including touching her genitalia.
