$1 Million Winner In NJ As Mega Millions Jackpot Hits $252M

There was a $1 million prize-winning ticket sold in New Jersey in the Tuesday Mega Millions drawing that now has a $252 million jackpot.

A New Jersey store sold a ticket that matched five white balls – but not the Gold Mega Ball. The ticket location is expected to be announced later Wednesday. Check back with Patch to find out where.

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, April 30 drawing were: 24, 37, 41, 61 and 70. The Gold Mega Ball was 20, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 3x.

No one won the $229 million jackpot, so now it's $252 million.

The next drawing will be held Friday, May 3 at 11 pm. All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 pm to participate in the drawing.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2; by adding the Megaplier option for an extra dollar per play, players can increase their nonjackpot winnings up to five times. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 46 participating jurisdictions.

Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Evening draws, with the exception of CASH4LIFE and 5 Card Cash, can be seen on WPIX-TV (PIX11) in New York and WPHL-TV (PHL17) in Philadelphia. Powerball and Mega Millions drawings can be seen on WABC-TV or WTXF stations.
