Brielle Council Meeting a Quick One

Members spend roughly 15 minutes unanimously passing slew of resolutions

The Brielle mayor and council met Monday night in for a quick meeting.

While the night commenced with little discussion or comments from the public, several resolutions were passed unanimously in the 15-minute time frame:

  • To approve the raffle application for the Wall Football Club Inc. to host an on-site gift auction Aug. 20 at .
  • To approve the raffle application for the Wall Football Club Inc, to host a fifty-fifty raffle at Simkos Bar and Grill on Aug. 20.
  • To grant the Brielle Board of Education a waiver from the noise ordinance to permit the installation of solar panels during the fall of 2011.
  • To permit the administrator to make a transfer of sick time from one employee to another at no cost to the borough or its taxpayers.

All resolutions on Monday night’s consent agenda were agreed upon by all council members, except for Councilman Paul K. Nolan, who was absent.

The next council meeting will be held on Monday, July 25, 7:30 p.m., at 601 Union Lane in the borough.
