With the assistance of Shore 2 Recover, we will help to raise funds for Camp Jinka, a free brain tumor support camp. Superstorm Sandy has had a rippling effect on many. The charitable contributionsthat fund Camp Jinka have decreased since the historic natural disaster. We want to help raise funds so that kids & teens effected by brain tumors can continue to find support and make art together again this summer.

This fundraising event is part of SurfTaco's ongoing support for the arts and commitment to assisting those effected by Superstorm Sandy. For the past four years SurfTaco in Belmar has provided free space to The David S. Zocchi Brain Tumor Center for use during their regular Art is Good creative workshops for families effected by brain tumors. SurfTaco has also been a major sponsor and donor to the braoin tumor center and Camp Jinka.

About Camp Jinka:
Camp Jinka is a free summer program offered by the David S. Zocchi Brain Tumor Center at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ to kids and teens whose lives have been impacted by the diagnosis of a brain tumor. Children attending camp have a loved one that is battling a brain tumor or has passed from one. Some are even survivors themselves. This unique camp offers creative indoor and outdoor activities while encouraging expression and connection with others having a similar life experience.
Camp Jinka, a collaboration between the David S. Zocchi Brain Tumor Center, Middletown Arts Center, Poricy Park and the Jinka Foundation was just selected by The New Jersey Parks and Recreation Association as the “#1 Therapeutic and Wellness Recreation Program in the State of New Jersey.” For more information visit www.campjinka.org
