UPDATE: Grieving Husband Asks For Help In Locating Wooden Bear Stolen From Family's Front Porch
The little bear was returned by someone on Sunday, husband says.

Whoever stole a much-loved carved wooden bear from a Belmar man has returned the item.
"I came out about 9 a.m. this morning and there it was," Jon Gibbons told nj.com on Sunday. "There was no note or anything. Maybe somebody had a flash of conscience."
The little bear was a gift from Gibbons wife Meg, before she died of cancer.

Gibbons had offered a $100 reward for the bear, which was taken from his porch at 18th Avenue and Laurel Terrace in Belmar around Sept. 1.
"It was devastating to lose that bear," he said. "I was stupid to leave it out on the porch. It's very important to me. It's very gratifying to have it back. Yesterday afternoon, about a half dozen people walked by my house and mentioned how much they liked the bear. I had no idea it had such an affect on people."
