High School organization needs votes to win $5,000
The Manasquan High School Environmental Club is hoping to win $5,000 to fund their annual activities.
The organization has entered a contest sponsored by Religious New Network and Entergy and has made it to the final round.
Members noticed a problem within the school and took creative measures to bring it to light.

When they noticed an alarming number of plastic drink bottles being discarded in the school on a daily basis, they needed to think of a way to illustrate the potential environmental impact to the school community.
They opted to go visual, creating a sculpture of a water bottle comprised of other the bottles used by students and staff at the school.

Since then, they say they've noticed a change in the school with more people opting for reusable drinking containers.
