Burglar Targeting Ocean County Senior Communities
Jackson police are seeking the identity of a man who is a suspect in at least one burglary in the town's senior communities.

JACKSON, NJ — Jackson police are urging residents to be aware of suspicious people in their neighborhoods as they investigate a series of burglaries that have happened in the township's senior communities in recent months.
The most recent incident happened Friday in the Four Seasons at Metedeconk development, Jackson Capt. Steven Laskiewicz said. A Chesterfield Drive resident told police a man walking around the community had claimed to be a security guard but refused to identify himself to the resident and then left the area.
Police checked the area and also asked for New Jersey State Police help with a helicopter search, but the man was not found.

A resident on Chesterfield Drive later reported a burglary, Laskiewicz said.
Detectives found a home in the community with a Ring doorbell video showing a possible suspect who matched the description and clothing of the man reported on Feb. 14; the video shows his attempt to cover his face after seeing the Ring doorbell. (See the video here.) When he turns, a crowbar is also visible sticking out of the backpack he is carrying., Laskiewicz said

Laskiewicz said there have been burglaries reported in the Four Seasons at South Knolls on North County Line Road, at Greenbriar at Winding Ways and at West Lake Mews, both off South Cooks Bridge Road, in addition to Four Seasons at Metedeconk.
Police are urging residents to report any suspicious people, observed in their neighborhoods. We are also asking that anyone who has information on the subject in the attached video and photo to contact police headquarters with that information. (Please see image from video in the comments)
Anyone with information about the incidents or about the suspect is asked to call Jackson police at 732-928-1111. Residents also are asked to report any suspicious persons or activity so officers can be dispatched to investigate it, Laskiewicz said.
