Heroin, Crack Cocaine Seized From Lakehurst Motel Room: Police

Two people were arrested and face drug distribution charges, police said.

LAKEHURST, NJ — Two people are facing drug distribution charges after authorities seized heroin, crack cocaine and cash during a search of a Lakehurst motel room, police said.

Clyde F. Cutler, 64, of Camden, and Janet Jackson, 33, of Lakewood, were arrested Oct. 20 after the search at the Express Inn and Suites in Lakehurst, Detective Robert Schroeck said.

Lakehurst Police searched the room at 10:30 p.m. and seized about 90 wax folds of suspected heroin, and 12 grams of suspected crack cocaine, along with THC, drug paraphernalia and about $2,500 in cash, Schroeck said.

Cutler and Jackson were arrested by Sgt. Jason Guide and charged with possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine, possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were taken to the Ocean County Jail, pending a mandatory court appearance.
