Manchester Police Host Fitness Challenge To Aid Veterans Group
The fitness challenge will benefit Recalibrate, a nonprofit veterans organization, and the Manchester Township Police Foundation.
MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Police Department is hosting a fitness challenge that will raise money for a local veterans organization that helps veterans transition to civilian life.
The First Responders Fitness Challenge is scheduled for Sept. 8 at Harry Wright Lake, 1499 Lake Road, Manchester.
The event is a grueling course that includes running, swimming and various functional training-based exercises. The teams will be four-person teams consisting of law enforcement, firefighters and active military. In previous years this event has had nearly 100 competitors from the tri-state area seeking to earn the title of “The Fittest Agency.”

This event will benefit Recalibrate, a nonprofit organization that helps veterans with a smooth and successful transition into civilian life, and will benefit the nonprofit Manchester Township Police Foundation.
Agencies may enter multiple teams (but may be limited to only two teams per agency). Slots will be filled on a first come first serve basis, and there will be a cut-off.
