Why are you seeking a seat on the school board?
To bridge the gap between parents and teachers and help parents become more involved in their children’s education by giving them a voice as a parent and not a teacher.
The single most pressing issue facing our school district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Parents' lack of understanding on what is going on in the schools. I want to open communication better between parents and educators and understand what everyone’s issues or concerns are and listen to different ideas on how to solve it.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking to serve on the school board seat?
I am not an educator and have no affiliation with any schools.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.
We need to as adults, put adult thoughts and feelings to the side and do what’s best for ALL of our children. It takes a village to raise a child and all residents of Manchester are a part of our village.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you will be effective on the school board?
Being a parent with children in 3 different Manchester schools I believe is what makes me an effective candidate. Also my work with future sailors and their parents, hearing their concerns, and training and guiding them to making life-changing decisions for the better. I will listen and try to help all if it is possible.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I’m just a wife and mother that wants nothing but the best for my kids and our community. Win or lose, I will still give my support to anything that would better Manchester.
