Manchester School Board Election: See Who's Running In 2022
There are two seats up for election in November on the Manchester Township school board.
MANCHESTER, NJ — Three people have filed petitions to run for two seats on the Manchester Township Board of Education in the November election.
In addition, there is an election to fill a one-year unexpired term on the school board, which has seven members. The three-year seats are unpaid, volunteer positions.
Gayle Mount, running on the "Count on Mount" slogan, is seeking re-election to the school board. Also seeking election are Anna R. Amato, running on the "Advocate For Education" slogan, and Jack Wilson, running on the "For The Students" slogan.

Daniel R. Staples, who has served for three years, is not seeking re-election.
Gina Georgiano is seeking election to the one-year unexpired term of the seat held by Melanie Biscardi, who is moving out of the district.

Mount served on the board for six months after she was appointed in 2017 to fill the seat of Mary Walter. She was elected to a full term in 2019. She is a special education teacher in Brick. She is a 1995 graduate of Manchester Township High School and she has children in the Manchester schools.
Amato, Wilson and Georgiano are first-time candidates. More information will be provided about them soon.
