UPDATE: Route 539 Detour Lifted
The road has a partial closure in place for the third time in four days due to a serious accident.
UPDATE, 1:20 p.m.: The detour that was diverting motorists north on Horicon Avenue from Route 539 in Manchester has been lifted.
A Nixle alert from the Manchester Township Police Department said traffic on the road has resumed.
PREVIOUSLY: Motorists are again being asked to avoid Route 539 on Wednesday after the third serious accident on the road in four days.

A Nixle alert issued by Manchester Township police says a detour is in place from Horicon Avenue in Manchester to Long Swamp Road in Plumsted for a serious accident investigation.
The closure is about 6 miles of Route 539, the majority of which borders Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
