3 Maplewood Residents Burglarized On Same Day: Police

Maplewood residents reported home burglaries on Harvard Avenue, Oberlin Street and Girard Place, police say.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood residents reported three home burglaries in the township on the same day last month, authorities say.

According to the Maplewood Police Department, residents reported the following incidents on Sept. 19:

  • At approximately 1:30 p.m., officers responded to an alarm activation of a home on Harvard Avenue. On their arrival, they found that the home had been forcibly entered and jewelry was reportedly stolen.
  • Between 2:45 and 3:30 p.m., a home on Oberlin Street was entered. At the time of the report it was unknown what was taken.
  • During the daytime hours, a home on Girard Place was forcibly entered. Electronics and jewelry were reported stolen from the home.
