68-Year-Old Woman Robbed at Gunpoint on Irvington Ave
The robbery took place last Thursday afternoon. The woman sustained minor injuries after being knocked to the ground.
Maplewood Police confirmed that a 68-year-old woman was robbed of her purse at gunpoint in broad daylight on Irvington Avenue last Thursday. The robber struck the woman on the head, knocking her to the ground. She sustained minor injuries to her head and neck. August 12, 2010: Robbery- A 68 year old woman was walking on Irvington Ave at 1:30 in the afternoon when a black male ran up behind her and demanded she turn over her purse to him. The man was pointing a hand gun at her when he made the demand. As the woman handed over the purse the man struck her on the side of the head and knocked her to the ground. The actor then fled to a waiting black four door vehicle that was parked across the street. The victim, who sustained minor injuries to her head and knee, described the man as 25 to 27 years of age, wearing a blue hat, thin build, 5'7" to 5'9" tall. The first letter of the license plate on the car was reported to be a "Z".
