82-Year-Old Maplewood Resident Located and Returned Home

Florine Brooks was found in Irvington and is "fine and back with her family."

Florine Brooks, who was reported missing from her Lindsley Avenue home early Saturday morning July 31, is "fine and back with her family," according to Maplewood Police Detective Lt. Jim Wavra. Brooks, an 82-year-old grandmother suffering from Alzheimer's disease, had left the house while her daughter showered on Saturday morning. Neighbors and friends set out in search for her and posted her information on MaplewoodOnline. Irvington Police picked Brooks up and notified Maplewood Police at 12:40 p.m. on Sunday. Brooks was showing no ill effects from her venture, according to Lt. Wavra.
