Assault on Meadowbrook Place Last Night

Maplewood Police Captain Paul Conlon reports that the Maplewood Police Detective Bureau is currently investigating an incident that occurred last night at approximately 2:25 a.m. on Meadowbrook Place (near the Community Pool).

Wrote Conlon in an email: "A 43-year-old female resident was assaulted in her car by a black male described as being in his late twenties, 5'6" to 5'8" tall, dread lock hairstyle, wearing a white t-shirt and green capri pants. The victim suffered facial injures and was transported by Maplewood Fire Department ambulance to Newark Beth Israel Hospital for treatment."

Conlon reports that the actor fled the scene in a large grey four door Lincoln styled auto. He characterized the incident as an "active investigation" and asked that anyone with information contact Det. Lt. Wavra at 973-762-3400 ext. 7905.
