Car Fire at Springfield and Prospect Extinguished

Maplewood Fire Department firefighters responded to a car fire late on Wednesday afternoon, quickly extinguishing the conflagration.

At approximately 4:00pm, the Maplewood Fire Department answered a call for a vehicle fire in a parking lot at the corner of Springfield Avenue and Prospect Street. Crews on the scene extinguished the fire, which was confined to the engine compartment. No injuries were reported, according to the Maplewood Fire Department.
