The Eva Samo Lecture: New Jersey Climate Change

NJ climatologist and Rutgers Professor Dr. David Robinson explores the physical dimensions and societal implications of climate change.

New Jersey has recently experienced record warmth and precipitation. Extreme weather events, including Hurricanes Sandy and Irene as well as an October snowstorm, suggest that something is happening to NJ’s climate. Human influences on climate are significant, prompting discussion of how society might develop greater resilience to increasing climate change. Dr. Robinson will explore the physical dimensions of climate change and touch upon societal implications. DR. DAVID ROBINSON, New Jersey State Climatologist and Professor of Geography, Rutgers University.
