Photos from Saturday Track Fire

Trees caught fire on Saturday afternoon on NJ Transit tracks in Maplewood where township firefighters responded and put out the blaze.

There were no reports of any injuries, but the limbs of several tall trees could be seen glowing bright orange from nearby homes and was visible from Buckingham Parkway.

It is not known what started the blaze.

After the fire was put out, township police officers closed nearby roadways to protect residents from falling limbs.
